Start of a One-Month Virtual Training Course with the Joint Efforts of TUMS, Kharkiv National Medical University and the USERN Global Network

The TUMS-KhNMU-USERN one-month virtual training course was launched by TUMS, Kharkiv National Medical University of Ukraine and the USERN Global Network for Scientific Education and Research.

This training course was held from April 12, 2021 until May 14, 2021 with the cooperation of the TUMS schools of Medicine, Advanced Technologies in Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, Persian Medicine, Rehabilitation, Dentistry and Public Health, as well as the Immunodeficiency Research Center.

 

At the opening of the program, Dr. Nima Rezaei, Head of the USERN global network, briefly introduced the course. Then Dr. Iryna Leshchyna, Vice Chancellor for Education and Research at KhNMU University, and Dr. Ramin Kordi, the TUMS Vice Chancellor for Global Strategies made a brief speech. This virtual training course was planned for five consecutive weeks under the titles of Medicine, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Health, Dentistry, and Immunodeficiency Weeks.

 

On the first day, some lecturers from Iran and Ukraine presented their lectures on “Evidence-based Medicine”, “Clinical Reasoning in Internal Medicine”, “Heart Failure” and “Acute Pancreatitis”. The second day's lectures covered the topics of “Pediatrics”, “The Covid-19 Pandemic” and “The History of Medical Sciences”.

 

During this course, more than 90 lectures were presented by professors from TUMS, KhNMU, internationally invited professors and scientists specialized in the relevant fields, while more than 2,500 people from different countries registered to participate in the course. It is worth noting that during this program, students were also given the opportunity to present their papers and the abstracts of the presented papers were displayed in the form of electronic posters.
