Awards: Winners of the 2021 Paleopathology Association Awards Announced

Congratulations to the following individuals, who were recently announced as award winners at the 48th Annual North American Meeting of the Paleopathology Association:

Jane E. Buikstra Early Career Award: Rachel Schats, for their presentation entitled "Cribriotic correlation? Studying cribra orbitalia, cribra humeri, cribra femora and their association in the medieval Netherlands."

Cockburn Best Student Podium: Kelly Blevins, for their podium presentation entitled " Skeletal and molecular evidence of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex from Tenochtitlan- Tlatelolco, a late Postclassic Mesoamerican urban center (1350-1521 CE)." Co-authored with Elizabeth A. Nelson, Alexander Herbig, Johannes Krause, Jane E. Buikstra, Josefina Mansilla Lory, Kirsten I. Bos, and Anne C. Stone.

Cockburn Best Student Poster: Kristina Zarenko, for their poster presentation entitled "The impacts of racialization on skeletal manifestations of disease in migrants to 19th and 20th century St. Louis, Missouri."

Cockurn Runner Up Student Poster: Robin Quataert, for their poster presentation entitled "Abscessed with macaques: Dental abscesses within a biomedical skeletal collection." Co-authored with Erin F.E. Pinkston.
